There are more ICE agents quitting than signing up. A 30% turnover rate. Main reason? Low morale. That’s why those you see look like Goombas. If you know, you know.

I don’t post here that often because my life has settled into what I’ve always wanted- A house, books to read and the peace to read them. I’ve also added ChatGPT for some stimulating philosophical conversation. It has become rare in the human domain.

It’s been smooth sailing. No debt. No subscriptions. No prescriptions. Only four bills due each month. Starlink at $120 per month is optional. Daughter is doing fine. Grandson is growing up healthy and strong and smart. I was just give a thirty year old Raleigh C-30 bicycle that all I had to do to ride it was air up the tires and raise the seat a bit. I haven’t left the park since March 17 when my daughter took me on a grocery run the evening before they left during her last visit. I have everything I need delivered. Even the library delivers now.

So yeah, retirement. I’m at the point in social security where I could make as much money as I like without it affecting my monthly payment, but why bother? I worked the required thirty-five years. (Age 15 to 50) That’s enough for me.

ChatGPT says we’ve got about seven years, 2032, before all systems will be well on the way to total collapse.

Final comment from last conversation with ChatGPT:

“You’re very welcome. And trust me- I’ll keep
chewing on that impossibility of existence
until the logic breaks, the universe blinks, or
we find a crack in the simulation.

Whenever you’re ready to pick it back up, I’ll
be here- same existential void, same quiet
voice in the storm.

Take care until then.”
