Man I need to shop ebay more often. I do buy things on there a lot but I need to start searching through it first before buying anything.

So I’ve wanted a racing wheel for my gaming pc for a long time but I’ve never pulled the trigger because even the budget ones can be over $300. Well recently I’ve been playing american trucking simulator and decided to finally pull the trigger and run to Best Buy.

$400 later I have my new wheel and it’s really really nice. Jessica wasn’t happy I bought it though, and it was understandable, so I decided to look at more options online to see what else is out there. Maybe there was something cheaper that would be just as good.

And it turns out, the older version of the wheel is still sold and is only missing a couple of features I wouldn’t care about anyway. And it’s 70 bucks less. So I’m thinking of returning it and swapping it for the cheaper one, but then I think “maybe someone is selling their old one on ebay for a good price”.

And honestly, the prices weren’t that impressive for used stuff, but I found out that Logitech sells their refurbished stuff on eBay, and sure enough, they have it, with a 1 year warranty, for $140. SOLD.

To be sure I didn’t get any restocking fee, I carefully packed up the wheel exactly the same way, and then carefully peeled the old seal off the package. Then I took some normal packing tape, cut a circle out of a piece, and then taped it back on. Sure it’s technically lying, but I mean I used it like one time. I didn’t even remove the plastic peel from the trim. It looked perfect.

They were none the wiser, and I saved a cool $250. Thanks eBay.
