I swear no matter what happens there’s always something wrong with me. I hope it’s just a normal part of getting older instead of me being super unlucky.
It started with my knee having this really weird “sunburn” sensation. It seriously felt exactly like a sunburn, but it definitely wasn’t a sunburn. No rash, no bruising. Just really sensitive skin. The doctors didn’t seem to know what was causing it but they scheduled an ultrasound to be sure it wasn’t a clot or something.
Well it started to improve and feel a bit better but I figure I’ll just get the scan anyway, that was until I saw that it was going to cost $300. Nah. But yeah so it’s basically fully healed at this point. I have a suspicion it’s the way I was sitting in my chair, because I cross my legs a lot and right on my knee is where my foot rests. So I’ve been trying to be a bit more mindful and not do that, so we’ll see if it comes back.
But yeah right as that heals up, then I start having urinary stinging pain. I go see my doctor again and they find blood in the urine but no UTI or STDs. So at this point they want to do a CT. But get this.
It’s over $1000. Like what’s the point of insurance if you just have to pay for everything yourself anyway. I may as well just cancel it and pay for things out of pocket, because this is ridiculous. Well the stinging sensation isn’t going away this time so I’ll likely keep the appointment later this week, but I’m taking some antibiotics and azo in the meantime so we’ll see what happens.
