Why? in hi

Today my cousin and her husband came to visit. It was so incredibly nice. We didn’t grow up close. She’s related on my dad’s side, and for whatever reason we didn’t see that part of the family nearly as often as my mom’s side.
I was a tiny bit apprehensive…it’s never been just the 4 of us, we usually socialize in a group. It was so bizarre as we talked– She and I have so many similarities that it is absolutely uncanny. We do and say a lot of the same stuff. We have crazy ideas, quick number crunching skills, identical political beliefs. (her sister has completely opposite beliefs that she posts on FB all of the time, so I wasn’t sure how this cousin feels)
I guess I have to say our similarities are genetic rather than a result of nurture (as with the cousins on my Mom’s side who were all raised in a big clump of family)
I am going to enjoy getting to know her better.
