First, BP has dropped back down to normal as of 6 this morning. I’m going to chop it all up to a very eventful weekend.
I’ve been approved for a new breast pump through insurance and I’m curious what others have used before I go and get one willy nilly again.
I have a medela pump in style. I like it because it’s small and it’s pretty quiet and has very few buttons so it’s super user friendly for new moms. We also purchased momcozy s9 pros for a portable and wearable style. I remember a couple people said they had to up suction on their wall pumps because of the nature of the portable pumps.
I’ve been leaning towards the motif luna for a new wall pump or the motif duo for the best of both worlds. I just don’t know.
I’ve been approved for other style breastpumps so if you have a suggestion or one you like or are brand loyal to, I’d like your opinion! I may set up an appointment with the lactation specialist and see what she says.
I’m sitting and waiting for my 38 week appointment right now. Lance of course has scheduled something for 3pm so he wants me to rush but I have questions and comments.
I’m opting to get checked today because I’m curious if my body is doing anything. Especially since my midwife is out for the next week. Lance told me I should’ve been here early. I know.. I know..
So appointment went well. BP was 130/90 and I’m still a little swollen. We talked about it extensively and penciled in an induction for when she gets back from vacation. I can change my mind but I said I’d keep an eye on BP until the next appointment unless I decide otherwise.
Then she checked me and said that with the way things are feeling, I might be having the baby before she’s even back from her time off… which is literally 6 days. She’s disappointed! She doesn’t get many who go epidural free or natural.
But really. Breastpumps. I have portables for ease at home and when we’re out and about. And my wall pump works fine but if I pay 6200 a year, I’d like to get a free pump again.
