I think a year.. maybe not sure, but I do note just have not been in a writing mood. Hmm what’s new..oh I turned 46. Spent it in Phoenix again at a convention part of the week for work then the other half chilling at a resort with my husband, auntie, mom, brother, his gf and her two kids. We went to tombstone for the day which was fun, definitely a tourist trap but full of history.
Then spent 12 hours coming home since we got stuck behind a horrible accident had to actually turn around and drive back to winslow and reroute to Vegas.
Was supposed to go to my family reunion on memorial day weekend but got a kidney stone, so spent the day in the ER. I started Ozempic in January, I have lost 18 pounds so far, the benefits so far outweigh the negatives. I am type two and my sugars have come down significantly so that’s good! I have been good about eating and working out too so here’s hoping. I am in my low 190’s would like to get to my 160’s and see how that feels so 30 more pounds for now.
I have been challenging to cross things off my list I have been wanting to do but procrastinate doing, first was to join a RPG game either online or in person. I found a great one on discord and a great writing partner so that has been fun. Two is take a fun class for the heck of it so I signed up for Coursera and am taking a creative writing class. Three is start a podcast which I have been wanting to do for years so I am in the beginning stages of doing that.
I am working for a few hours at work, but that has consisted of working out 50 minutes of cardio and fifty minutes of weights, cleaning and puttering around on the computer. Plan is to leave a bit after 10:30, grab bbq sauce for my mom for her ribs and go home and hang with my dog and hubby.
Our town goes all out for the fourth but its way to hot (112 at peak) to deal with all that.
Plans are to head to my folks at 630 for a BBQ and maybe stick around to watch fireworks. Both my husband and I work early in the am so probably not. Hope everyone has a good fourth and maybe I will actually write more than once a year..or not
