It’s fascinating to observe my development over the past few weeks. There are times during bible study when the discussion turns to “working for God” or “Don’t focus on the worldy things” and I find my rebellious side emerging. I feel like saying, “Stop telling me what to do, I already know.” Especially because I really enjoy working o my business. However, something has changed in me this past week.
During the last session, my teacher emphasized the importance of wholeheartedly serving God and carrying out His will. Surprisingly, I didn’t feel irritated or frustrated; instead, I found her message to be quite sensible. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been incorporating my faith more into my business, but it’s interesting to see that I’m starting to feel more enjoyment from it.
This has led me to ponder how different my life would be if I focused solely on my faith and work, without indulging in activities like sports or Netflix. I imagine it would bring a unique sense of freedom that few people get to experience, although it would undoubtedly be a challenging path to follow. Because hey, we need balance right?
