Post Shitty Day in The Best Coast Life

Well, depsite yesterday being a work day from hell, the meeting with General Assembly went really well! The woman I chatted with was super sweet, really cool and overall down to earth. She gave me some great insight on the culture of GA, the supportive team, the start-up feel, the ins and otus of the company and how she gets along well with her co-workers. The one thing that stuck out to me the most and I asked her about that too is the support of the team and management and the trust that is issued when hiring someone. Does GA offer that support? Do they trust their employees to do the right thing? And it was an overwhelming, yes!
I hope I get to talk to her again soon and see if I’m right for the position, but if it’s going to happen it will happen organically.

Hopefully this will give me motivation to stay focused on the goal. To better myself, to seek out better avenues of employment, to educate myself.
It’s all a learning process and some days are going to be hard, but I learned the criteria I have for a company I want to work for. I have high standards in all aspects of my life, why would I make any exceptions for my job?
