October Skies in Words that Rhyme

October skies with leaves of gold
and clouds of winter grey
sun he reaches half way high
and birds have gone their way

Summer lawns they think of sleep
and snows of yet to come
beaches lone and windswept now
as life now comes undone

Years as always have their way
the fruit has reached the ground
frolic in the warming rays
now winters breathless sound

Carry on and always be
not memoring of the past
as life is so the seasons be
they come yet never last
