Perhaps the evening is the best time for these posts. I think I’m less stressed during that time.
So, on Tuesday I saw The Fault in our Stars. At times I was surprised by how much I liked it. Objectively looking at it I have to say it is a good film. BUT it just struck a personal nerve and I can’t help but have a knee jerk reaction against it, especially at its sappiest and sugariest.
Anyway, my next weeks film will, finally, be Under the Skin, that is unless I keep getting sicker, which I hope will not happen. On the same note of sickness because of that I am not entirely sure while I be going to Oma’s on Friday. I’m not that sick, but I don’t know.
Finished reading Rise and Fall of Communism. Towards the end it was rather meh. Began reading Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer. So far it is also not very exciting. I suppose it might be because we are now going through the early years of Hitler, a somewhat knowledgeable area to me so we’ll see how it goes. Also the book is really, really long so might take some two months two finish if my reading pace slows down.
Also, still reading The Stand. Considering how many pages we are in not much has happened. No wonder they wanted to cut the book, Lord of the Rings it is not. My problem is how much time is being spent on how they are organizing the society. I just want to scream “I don’t care about this bureaucracy, get to the interesting stuff”. Dragged out might be the word for this book.
