I suppose I should have written about it sooner because now it has kind of went out of me and I’ve moved on. Finished reading The Stand, finally. For a work that wants to be so epic it was sure a disappointing ending. I mean what was the point of them going west? That was a mystery that was never answered. It just seems like someone wanted to quickly just finish it and be done with it.

So now I’m reading Ivanhoe by Walter Scott. So far seems interesting. We’re at the tournament part now. So is the Disinherited Knight Cedric’s son? And who is Ivanhoe supposed to be exactly. If he was the Pilgrim then you’d think Rowena would recognize him. So far it is not evident what the plot of the book is.

Under the Skin was disappointing. The most frustrating movie I’ve seen since Drive. It would be a good movie if you cut out all the long, boring nonsense. Shame, really.

My next week’s film will be The Rover. I’d still like to see Deliver us from Evil but that might not materialize.

At this point I’m hot for Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. At this part it’s rather boring. Also I have no idea what I’m gonna read after I finish this one. One thing I’d still like to read about is the second part of the wars of the roses since Weir’s book did not cover it only the Lancaster v. York part. Can’t find a good source for that and Weir’s book about Elizabeth of York does not seem appealing.
