You guys! It happened. Danny proposed to me in the best way possible. I was not expecting this at all, I had known that a friend was getting engaged Saturday out in wine country so I just figured… Not yet but nope! Danny got down on one knee after walking 4 miles to the Golden Gate Bridge and taking a picture at a spot we took photos at a year prior. I don’t even know what he said, something about fortune cookie fortunes, all I said was “what are you doing?” “what are you saying?” “what’s going on?” Finally he was like “I’m asking you to marry me, do you say yes?!?!?!” Of course, I said yes then sat in the dirt for awhile because I couldn’t see straight. IS THIS REAL LIFE?!?!
Reading some fortune cookie… Something about in 3 months your dreams will come true… He had bought the ring in October but wasn’t sure when he was going to do it so he decided he’d take the Chinese cookie’s advice and do it 3 months from that date, in San Francisco! :)
My big sister and roommate were with us which was super special. Jamie, sister, popped a bottle of champagne and we cheers’d, laughed, I cried. It was so perfect. I still can’t believe I’m engaged and I have a beautiful rock on my left hand. This feeling right about now! A week later… SIghhh.
Who doesn’t love champs?! We saved the cork and the bottle. Will put flowers in it when we move into our new home together TOMORROW. PHEWWWW
I cannot believe he held onto this thing for 3 months. No way! It’s so perfect. I guess he asked my dad in Sept. I was doubting him ever asking me in November-when this happened, my bad! He was just waiting for the right time :)
The rest of that day was pretty much a shitshow. I guess I told a lot of strangers at the bars we went to after because many free shots/drinks happened. I was cutoff by 7pm. Whoops! It was a vacation and a big day, ok?!
Saturday we went to Sonoma with some of my Cali friends. It was a really stressful morning and I lost a friend this day… We went to college together but moved out to SF a couple months ago. Anyhow, she and a new friend were supposed to join but she told me 20 minutes after she was supposed to be there that she thought it was too expensive. BYE FELICIA. Danny was short $130 for the limo bc of them. Not trying to waste my time on people like her. There was another engagement, one I knew about for a few weeks. She was sooo shocked! I met her in high school and we reconnected when I lived in SF, her San Diego. Excited for them, they’re such a sweet couple!
Annnd finally, a photo of my San Francisco friends out in Sonoma. I miss them so much, I really hope they come visit me in Dallas soon. Such a nice group of girls and guys! My roommate is in there too, first row second from the right
So anyway, if anyone has any advice to us and the planning process, I’m def interested in hearing it. Already a little overwhelmed and we’re only a week in!!! Bridal bootcamp needs to happen, gotta tone it up! But for now, gotta pack up my apartment and start moving into mine and my Fiances new apartment! Pictures of that to come soon, so excited about this spot!
