I managed to post two items up on Gumtree last night. Hopefully, this is the start of a successful campaign of selling all my old junk. A bit annoying that they removed one of my adverts as they viewed the sale of two similar items as being duplicates. But that’s no major problem.
Ocado emailed me this morning to inform me that my job application was unsuccessful. Annoying, but I need to keep plodding along in this mission to move jobs. I suspect my lack of previous delivery driving experience counting against me as that was comparably a higher paid position. I need to post an application with Sainsbury’s next. I am not hopeful of getting a job with Sainsburys. I have never had any luck getting jumping through the hoops that the recruitment procedures supermarkets place out. However, I need to apply as I might get lucky and gain my first position driving!
There are a couple of driving jobs advertised in the local free paper this week. That is a promising sign as there are more jobs being advertised than I am getting in my existing employment sector.
I am not enjoying lunch duties at work. I hate having a member of the senior leadership helping me. I wish it would go back to last year where it was just me and a cleaner. I was effectively in charge. I seriously need to motivate myself and keep myself chatting and on patrol in the hall so I can keep my position. I am under the impression that the member of senior leadership will be leaving the hall after the first term.
I am disappointed that I have not managed to get out for a walk this week. However, I am so tired after returning home from work after being on my feet all day! I am Going to have to save my walk this week for the weekend.
