Wilma: What a wonderful day we had yesterday at the Pirate Festival. "Billy Bones" met lots of old friends and visited all day. They had a special table set aside in the VIP area for all of us and when we weren't travelling around and visiting others (and eating), people were dropping by and visiting with Willy too.
There were a couple of songs sung for him at the grandstand show too. One of the others recorded that, and hopefully we'll be able to post that too. There was also an interview done as part of a feature of the festival. I'm not too clear as to when that will be available.
It's for sure it will take a few days to collect up all the pictures and well wishes into one spot. That will be a task that probably won't be finished until after I get home.
He sure got lots of kisses from all the beautiful ladies. He handed out at least 80 cards to the ladies, and many more hugged and kissed him too.
We went out for dinner afterwards and everyone in the restaurant sang Happy Birthday to him with us, and the restaurant treated us to dessert and presented Willy with a slice of cheesecake with a candle on it. And again, he got more hugs and kisses from many of the ladies in the restaurant.
He was pretty wiped out when we got home, and it didn't take long before he was fast asleep. He's up and around, bright-eyed and bushy tailed this morning with lots of happy memories of two memorable celebrations this week.
