Teach myself gardening & charity to neighbors in Just Life

Would it be weird if I grew a garden this upcoming summer and build a giveaway box for the fruits and vegetables that is to much for my family to eat? I don’t think kindness should be a term or condition. Surely someone would appreciate my attempt to teach myself gardening. I rather give it away instead the food wasting.
