With two busy boys who don’t like to stop moving for a second it’s rare for me to be able to get a nice picture of them these days but today I actually did it. I am considering getting this picture framed and on our wall as I just love it to pieces:

I have been thinking of what to do about the kids and how they don’t like many veggies/meat and at least on the veggie front I’ve decided to try something. I’ve introduced a ton of veggies to both of them of course but I’m going to make a list on the fridge and try one veggie after another once again and see which ones they eat and which ones they don’t. I tend to give them the few they’ll eat often so this is a way of trying them again. I personally don’t like cauliflower too much but my mom used to cook it and make it covered in breadcrumbs and it was absolutely delicious so I will have to get that recipe from her. I am also going to try broccoli with cheese sauce at least for Cody. I don’t know how to make every veggie out there but hopefully if I try those as well as carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas and corn they’ll start liking at least more than one variety of veggie. As for the meat, I’ll have to gradually work on that. Cody loves my lasagna which has ground beef in it and will often eat a variety of meat at my parents’ house. I just have to pay more attention to what he likes and learn to be a better cook maybe? lol.

A man came and installed our brand new dishwasher today. Mike and I wanted to try to install it ourselves and save the money but we honestly had no idea what we were doing. Reading the instructions was like reading a different language. We definitely did try before we decided to call someone to help. It cost $90 to have it installed which sucks but what can you do?

Cody has been waking up really early lately which is super annoying. Today was 5:45am! I used to be able to tell him to go back to sleep but now I bring him into our bed and he lies down with me for a bit. He’s done this for a few days now and what will happen is he’ll come into our bed with me, then I will inevitably fall asleep and when I wake up he is playing with his train set in his room or downstairs with toys. Thank goodness he doesn’t get into stuff too much these days as he used to when he was a lot younger. A couple mornings ago the same thing happened but when I heard him playing I heard him and Miles laughing and so I was like oh the baby is up, weird that he’s not crying. So I lay there for a bit and eventually Miles started crying and I go in and Miles’ crib is completely FULL of toys. Cody must have brought like 10 toys up the stairs one at a time and dropped them into his crib for his brother to play with lol. There was big fire trucks and blocks and a phone and just all sorts of random things. What a sweet guy eh? haha. Although Cody can still get into trouble sometimes. Like last week the kids were playing in the house and I was on the phone with someone and they were playing near the front door. I thought nothing of it and then 10 minutes later I was like wow they’re being so quiet and good, I should go peek on them. So I go and take a look and the front hall was completely COVERED in cat litter. I had a 50lb Costco box near the door and Cody had somehow dumped a ton out through the side hole in the box where you carry it. Omg lol. They were both covered in cat litter and were playing in it like it was sand. Cody had the dustpan and broom and was moving piles of it here and there. Luckily my friend next door was home so I asked her to watch them out front while I cleaned up the disaster and then washed the cat litter residue off of them. What a mess!

I lazed around with the kids a bit today and then in the afternoon I took them to a far away park. Cody played on the playground, I pushed both of them on the swings and Cody also played in the splash pad for a bit. Afterwards I walked to get subs (sucks having only one car this week) then we ate dinner at home, I bathed them, put them to bed, cleaned up the chaos of toys and dishes, did a bit of laundry and then Mike got home so I went to work. I got my 10,000 steps today so I’m happy about that! Right now at work I have an hour and forty-five minutes before I can leave and I’m pretty close to done my work. I guess I will read for a bit and hope my eyes don’t start to close.
