Well I've been lucky enough to see a few movies in the last month or two and I LOOVE movies so let me share my thoughts on them with y'all.

Well I suppose I could rank them from best to worst but instead I'll just go in the order I viewed them in.

LUCY - Scarlett Johansson, Morgan Freeman - awesome movie but questionable ending. I hate when you go to a movie theater, get really into the movie and the whole time you're thinking about how cool it is and want it to go on forever, but only to be disappointed by the ending. Welcome to Lucy. I left going huh? I asked my husband about a million questions afterwards and he could only guess on most. So if you're up for drawing assumptions about the after effects of this movie and the implications that leave you guessing, than I say 100% go see it!

The visual effects were fantastic and as always, Scar was amazeballs! (she did and fantastic acting job)

I'd say a 3.5 or 4 out of 5. To each his own so not everyone will love it but my feelings towards it are very so-so.

Guardians of the Galaxy - Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker - Great movie Lots of action and humor, but some parts are lacking in good dialogue so could have been far better scripted but I'll be the first to love a movie that can teach a warrior alien to get footloose. I do like almost all the acting but it is no surprise the best came from the 2 main characters. Aliens were believable and likeable, great graphics, situations were mostly believable and left me liking the movie severely. I'd give it another watch anytime and a 4 out of 5 stars

Planet of the Apes 2 - Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and Andy Serkis as Caesar - Doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you have not yet seen the first movie but you don't have to remember all of the first movie to understand the second. It was indeed, a scary and fantastic movie. It was amazingly filled with emotion, plot, drama and was clearly well thought out. I LOVED this movie. I loved it so much, I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars and I applaud any movie that tries to bring the humanity back to mankind.

Good acting, great visuals, scary noises, intense music, an emotional roller-coaster.

Noah - Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins - Sounds like a great cast, right? Well this movie proves that even the best of actors can NOT turn an awful script into a good movie. The lack of budget funding was apparent, some of the acting was questionable but most problematic were the severe liberties they took with the original story line. I mean since when in the story of Noah's Arc are there walking rocks, magic stones, and babies being born on board the Arc? I mean I am pretty rusty in my bible stories but I don't remember these things.... I suppose all movies take risks but in this movie, at this time, these were the wrong risks to take and it ultimately made the movie fail. I wasn't sure after watching it that I was all that grateful I made the effort.

I'll give it a 1.5 stars out of 5. It sure could have been worse but maybe the crappy effects could have been nixed if the storyline were better.

Transcendence - Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany, Morgan Freeman (and Cillian Murphy whom I personally think is gorgeous, and what a name! yum) Seriously good acting, terrific story line, keeps you guessing and man, after seeing the movie I could not stop saying WHOA! just whoa! lol

It was a great movie and I highly recommend it to anyone. People who will like it more than your average Joe is anyone who likes futuristic movies, computers and technology, love stories, movies of hope and mankind, ...just nerds in general... and of course all you Johnny Depp lovers out there. Of course, I am a major Morgan Freeman lover (as an actor, not a crush type love silly) so I will literally watch anything with him in it. Most do not disappoint and this was no exception. I LOVED this movie. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

In order to get your monies worth, I am also going to include my reviews of the shows I saw in Las Vegas. Ah, the city of Sinners. I do NOT fit right in but that doesn't mean I can't find them entertaining!!

Zarkana - Aria - Cirque Du Soleil - With the name of CDS, you'd think it would be amazeballs! however, I was disappointed. It was more circussy (totally a real word) than I expected. It did have some talented people, but nothing to make me say oohh and aahhh at. In fact, there were a number of flops throughout the show. Plus the talents were not original and not all that amazing. Sorry cast and crew of Zarkana!

The best part of the show was the clowns intermittent through the show making the audience laugh.

The seats we got were not bad though, the theater itself not being too large, so all could see well. I'd have to say out of all the CDS shows we've seen (and it's a lot), this was NOT one of my favorite. It is likeable but not loveable. I would not put it on a Must See List.

And btw, call me old fashioned but the Aria is not my idea of a cool hotel. Too futuristic and 'interesting' (aka out there). Not my thing but to each his own

Le Reve - Wynn - Cirque Du Soleil - This show was everything that Zarkana was not! It was by far THE most amazing Las Vegas show that I've EVER seen! No kidding here. I WOULD recommend to ANYone to see it. 100% go see it!

The actors and actresses were all talented without doubt. There were so many things going on at all times that you're attention was pulled here and there. We were lucky enough to score an isle seat so the crew was close enough to touch when they came down the stairs to the stage. The stage itself is of course state of the art with a moving part every which way. It was a round, yes round, stage with water surrounding it, and a round theater. The seats were stadium style surrounding the large pool in the middle which hides circular adjustable height fountain stages. The music, lights and effects were all state of the art. The whole thing has to cost a billion dollars to produce with the costs of a pool stage alone but with everything else to factor into costs, it makes sense that it can only be done in Vegas. TOTALLY worth the price though.

Not really any stretch of the imagination to say you've probably never seen anything like it before. Not to say you won't in the future bc after going myself, I'd LOVE to go see it again. and again, and again. If I were doing stars for Vegas shows, it would withoutadoubt get 5 outta 5 from me.

Titanic exhibit - Luxor - Good, very cool. Lots to look at, lots to learn. I am fascinated by it without going but seeing everything just furthers my drive to learn more about it. Gift shop at the end is a total rip off but welcome to Vegas, right? (this is a reoccurring theme throughout all the Vegas shows we saw. big surprise) Totally worth the price of admission in my opinion.

The Bodies exhibit - Luxor - oh Lordy, promise me you won't go in there unless you have a strong stomach. I mean, I can handle talking about blood while eating dinner with the best of them but the second, I kid you not, the second I walked in, I felt nauseous. And the first room is only the skeleton. hehe

It was a feat for me to complete this exhibit. It took all my strength not to heave chunks.

Also promise me you won't go in there if you are pregnant and feel nauseous easily. I am NOT preggers but seeing all the stuff - well lets just say there's a whole room on pregnancy that made me cry. Pregnancy is great but miscarriages and high emotions can ruin what is meant to be a good learning experience. So be wary!

This exhibit ran the gambit of emotions for me so just use your best judgement when considering viewing it. I really am amazed and at the same time confused by the human body but I will NOT be seeing this exhibit again anytime soon.

Menopause - Luxor - Good show. It was funny and even my husband liked it. The cast is only 4 women, the stage is tiny with minimal props but you soon realize you're only there for the music! Take all your old favorite tunes and put funny lyrics to them, lyrics about menopause and it's awful changes to women everywhere, and there is Menopause in a nutshell. It made me lol a lot and the women were very talented. Love to Tina (Turner)!

I'd recommend it if the above appeals to you.

Lastly,

Jabowokeez - Luxor - are you asking, who or what is Jabowokeez? right now? well so are most people. lol. They are a wonderful group of dancers who won the most popular season of America's Best Dance Crew and won themselves a contract for a Vegas headliner show. So here they are! The were at some other casino and not as well know but since moving to the Luxor, they have changed their routine, added lots of cool lighting, gotten a totally crappy stage/theater, added crew members, gotten a better bit down and changed music. Plus they added a lot of humor to the act. I was not just dancing in my seat many times during the show but dang, those guys are hilarious. I, being a closet dancer but public music lover, loved this show. It was 'interesting' at times having far too much Charlie and The Chocolate Factory weirdness in it but overall, I liked it. I would see it again without a second thought. Great job guys! Rock on

So that raps up my shows review. I guess it was more of shows than simply movies but you know you love that. ;)

I hope in some way this was helpful. If nothing else it was fun for me bc I had so much fun seeing all these shows that it brings back excellent memories. I hope you go make some great memories of your own! Have fun y'alls!
