Journaling prompt:

How can I bring my dreams into manifestation? How do I experience my own sense of personal power? What magic can my hands make?

Your Magician Spark:

Hands bring the Unseen into the realm of the Seen.

Try this art play exercise. Get a piece of black paper and a white colored pencil, either wax-based or oil-based, like Prismacolor. Don’t use a hard pencil, use a soft one.

Put your hand on the paper and trace around it with the white pencil. Then make designs inside the hand, and maybe outside of it too.

For example: draw a spiral in the center of your hand, or a heart, or a glowing orb, or another sacred symbol. Shade it, bright white to light white. This is the energy of your hand.

Or, draw designs on the outside of the hand, as if you are radiating light and energy (because of course you are!). Then layer other colors on top of the white, leaving some of the white areas as they are . . . white.

(I'm modifying the art project because I don't have black paper or white pencils. So don't feel obligated to stick to that either. Get creative.)

Having a garden this summer really opened my mind to the power of my hands. Working the earth, pulling weeds, harvesting what I had grown. Me. I raised these plants from little seeds and sprouts to huge plants that are sprawling and gorgeous. If I slacked off, weeds sprung up and their growth slowed. And so now, I've reaped what I've sown lol, and I have herbs drying in my pantry, almost ready to be put to magickal use. I even made my own smudge sticks!

So my hand is purple, representing femininity and queenliness. All three of my patron goddesses are Queen goddesses, and I am a queen too. The green spiral represents the Great Goddess, and how Her earth magick allows me to channel my inner Green Witch. The tips of my hand glow with the energy of the earth, which I connect to when performing magick. Yellow energy spirals out of my hand, showing my power and magickal strength.
