I have a new cover photo now

And I'm quite fond of it.
See, my original plan this Sunday was to do nothing; Caffeine and I originally planned to do regular photshoots, but she was planning to do some costume making. Then my colleague needed someone to chaperone his students for a rowing and running event (5km out, 5km back), and we kind of arranged to do a photoshoot of her as Squall, since I only needed to be on-site at the Barrage, starting at 8am.
Then Caffeine threw her back out, and I decided to try to get some sunrise shots from the Barrage. This is what it looked like at when I arrived:

Well. That's the plan right out the window.
Some people might be extremely disgusted with the weather. There was, in fact, one photographer there who was so disgusted with the weather that he passed his camera to his girlfriend, since there clearly was nothing to be done here.

And then he wandered off to stare at the sky in disgust. I know this, because he passed in front of me, and then stepped up onto one of the benches on the sky garden and glared straight out at the city, clearly berating it for not giving him a beautiful skyline.
I know this because of the above. I also know this because while he was clearly unhappy with the sky for ruining his beautiful plans, I was standing behind him going this is awesome! and photographing what he was clearly unhappy with.
And there he is, in the middle of the beautiful shot, complaining that the world is ugly today.

The world is beautiful. People are beautiful. You just need to let go of your preconceptions of how this beauty should manifest.
