This cold I have is so annoying. I sneezed like 100 times yesterday and went through a box and a half of kleenex. Ugh. Stupid nose is dripping like a faucet. Plus I am constantly running around wiping 2 other drippy noses. I was so exhausted on Sunday night I didn't eat dinner and went to bed at 8pm. I felt freezing cold so I bundled up and 2 hrs later I woke up and was boiling hot so I had to rip everything off. Plus Cody is grumpy and Miles coughs and wakes up at like 5am. I am horrible and don't even have a humidifier. I should buy at least 2 for the kids. I was researching what kind to get last night. Still not sure.
So we went to Costco on Sunday afternoon and the kids were actually pretty good as we wandered around for an hour. It probably helped that we went for lunch first. My MIL treated us to a membership since we drove her which is pretty awesome. She didn't know that if you refer someone for a membership the person referring and the new member each get a $10 gift card so I told her about that. We didn't have much room in the car though since it was full of the 5 of us plus kid presents plus our clothes from staying at my parents place so I only bought $50 worth of stuff. I really wanted the 50lbs of cat litter which was $5 but there was no room for it :(
One thing my parents bought Cody is a recordable story book. They bought him one before and he loved it so much that he listened to them read it to him until it stopped working lol. It's a great gift idea for his age or even a bit younger, especially since my parents don't live close because this way he can still hear their voice. The weird part is that this time the book they got him is Frosty the snowman. So it's July right now and all I keep hearing about is Frosty over and over lol. Why they picked Frosty I have no idea. They must have bought it a while ago.
We are taking the kids to the next town over where my MIL and her mother and Mike's dads side of the family live on Saturday to celebrate the boys' birthdays with them. One good thing is my MIL said she didn't know what to get them so she bought them a couple things but she also wants to go to Walmart with us when we visit and buy a few things that I point out that they need so she said we could fill up a cart with whatever. She said we could get a couple boxes of diapers and wipes, new shoes for them both, more sippy cups, soothers, coats, a new car seat for Cody or anything random that they might need. Doesn't that sound awesome? I told her she doesn't need to go overboard like that but she said they are her only grandchildren so she loves helping take care of them now and then. It's going to be fun because she will let me pick whatever I want :) I swear we are so lucky sometimes. Our families are so generous! It's going to be like Christmas lol.
I really hope this cold and the kids' colds are mostly gone by Sunday when I start work but I doubt they will be. I seem to recall colds lasting a couple weeks at least in this house.
I have so much cleaning to do today. It sucks lol. I haven't unpacked our clothes from the weekend yet or the bags of new stuff we got for the kids plus the sink is full of dishes since our dishwasher has been broken for 2 weeks. Plus random kid toys everywhere. And laundry to do. I better get started while Miles is sleeping.
