So anyways, Sunday we went to A day out with Thomas in St.Thomas which is about an hour and a bit away. We got there early, picked up our tickets and thank goodness we had enough time to have lunch because it was too early when we left and the kids would've been a wreck going on the train with empty bellies. Cody threw a tantrum on the way because he didn't have a soother and wanted one DESPERATELY and Mike threatened to go back home but whatever, we made it finally and I had them both dressed in Thomas t-shirts which were really fall sweatshirts but I rolled up the sleeves and made it work lol.
When our train was due to arrive shortly we lined up and waited and I took pictures of Thomas arriving. There were hundreds of people waiting to get on the 2pm train with us. And at $30 a person they must make a killing I thought lol. For some reason when we got on the train Cody was like "no no no no NO!" which was weird because we told him he was going on Thomas and he seemed excited. So we get on and of course we got the train that has windows that don't open and it's STIFLING in there. Thank goodness it was only a 30 minute ride. Plus there's a kid very close to us crying like crazy and the parents were debating about whether or not to take him off. Oh boy lol. So anyways, the train goes for 15 minutes one way and then 15 minutes back to where you got on. Cody and Miles both loved looking out the window and waving at people. Cody didn't appreciate Thomas' loud whistle at times but overall he enjoyed the ride and it was the perfect length of time for maximum enjoyment without getting bored or too hot. Afterwards we went and got pictures with Thomas.
There really wasn't as much Thomas-related activities as I thought there would be but it turned out great because kids can't last forever, especially since neither of them napped beforehand. Cody played with bubbles coming out of a bubble machine, he played in soapy bubbles with other kids and he went on a bouncy castle a few times. There was also a man outside making balloon animals but we were boiling and needed a break from the sun so we went inside a huge gym to check things out. Inside there were model trains to watch as well as a number of train sets where the kids could push little trains around. There were also kids doing something with stamps but we didn't go over there. We let Cody pick something out in the store and looked around for a bit. Miles decided to empty an entire sippy cup of water onto himself and I realized I didn't bring any extra clothes for him so I stripped him down to his diaper and he was fine lol. After all of that we had been there about 3.5-4 hours. Mike bought Cody a helium Thomas balloon and Cody was getting that glazed look in his eyes meaning he is super tired and his cheeks were red from the heat so we decided we'd had enough. The funny thing is that we decided to go to Dairy Queen for ice cream which was literally a 3 minute drive away but both the kids were fast asleep by that point lol. So Mike and I relaxed in the Dairy Queen parking lot and enjoyed our ice cream to cool down. Overall, Cody had a great time so we were happy and it was nice to enjoy our ice creams in peace. Here's some pictures:

And here's a few more recent pics of the kids since I haven't posted any in a while :)
