Well, I survived my doctor's appointment this morning... I was really nervous about it because I HATE doctors, but it went fine. He's very happy with my cholesterol and blood-pressure, I asked for a new allergy med, and we were done. I also asked for a ventolin refill but he forgot to order it so I'll have to call it in next week. It can wait till John gets paid again - ventolin inhalers don't come cheap any more. :( While we were there we filled out the paperwork to put John onto their patient roster, and did the paperwork to get our records transferred from our old doc so we'll have everything in one place. It's really not practical to drive two hours for a doctor's appointment unless you're going to some mega-specialist. John took the whole day off to take me, so of course we were done by ten o'clock... that's the way it always goes! If you think an appointment's going to be really quick, you're hanging around all day for it, and vice versa. He's not feeling well today so he can use the rest anyway.

You're right about how backwards reality is to our expectations sometimes, but good for you on the good report card you got at the doctor's office. I hope being done with the move has helped you to settle in and get to peace so you can get back to you inspirational health progress!
