Flotsam in General

I was born in 1962. I grew up in the 60s and 70s. Hit the road in the 80s.

A continual complaint me and my friends have is that the girls back in the day were nowhere nearly as gorgeous as they are now. While my daughter was in high school I almost had to wire my jaw shut to keep it off my chest when I had meetings with her teachers.

One part is nutrition, and a generally better approach to health. Except most kids smoke these days which makes no sense at all.

I was going to give up on "Under the Dome" after they killed off Angie, but they immediately introduce Melanie Cross (actress Grace Victoria Cox). Gawd, what an angel. Pictures don't do her justice - you have to see her on a 50" plasma.

So "Under the Dome" keeps me as a viewer until they kill off Melanie.

The incredible weather holds on in New England. I did finally have to turn the AC back on because everything started getting sticky. I don't know for sure, but I don't think my grandmother ever had an air conditioner. maybe there is something to the global warming horseshit after all. Or it's just part of the cyclic nature of the environment.

The first real "hot" day of summer arrives tomorrow. Then thunderstorms show up on the heats tail. Gotta get a ham Italian sammich for the beach. Then pick up lobsta on the way back in front of the storms.

Gack.

Time to shampoo the carpets again. The hairball-producing mammal I share my apartment with has been working overtime. I'm not rushing her toward the rainbow bridge, but if she dropped anytime soon I'd be sad for a few days then relieved. How a ten pound animal can make such disgusting messes is beyond me. I wouldn't mind getting that litter box out of the bathroom.

I bought one of those cool leatherette cases for my kindle. Guess what? Wrong one. I am trying to figure out if I should send it back or if it is worth the trouble.
