We were figuring out how much we will need to save for our trip to Florida in February and on top of my parents offering to pay for half the cost of the flight and all of our hotel bill my MIL just came into some extra money so she said she would pay the other half of our flight cost as well as the cost of a car rental and that would be our Christmas presents from her. That's so awesome! My husband is her only child so she likes to spoil him/us sometimes. So we will only have to pay for our park tickets, meals and extra spending money. We decided to take one month off of paying our mortgage to have that money to use as well. Our bank offers people the opportunity to do this 4 times over the life of your mortgage. The extra month gets tacked onto the end of our 25 year mortgage. The woman I talked to at the bank said it's not a big deal. I'm sure some people wouldn't agree with using the money on a trip but we rarely treat ourselves so this week and a half trip is a huge treat. After this trip we probably won't be able to go to Florida for 5 years because of the expense so we're going to make it good :) So excited!

I forgot to mention, when talking about Cody learning new words, that he also learned to say bubbye yesterday. Yay! I heard him practising some words before he fell asleep tonight lol. I don't understand how learning words seems to come so easily to some kids yet it's hard for Cody. He has to practice and say a word quite a number of times before he remembers it and can say it consistently. I feel bad for him about it and really hope he can catch up to the other kids before school starts next fall. I try to read to him often because that is supposed to help.

Cody's birthday is a week tomorrow! My sweet little boy is going to be 3! I can hardly believe it. We aren't getting him a ton of gifts because he has a lot already but I did buy him 5 used books today that look new from a woman and we will probably get him a toy of some kind. My parents bought him a tricycle as a surprise. It will be interesting to see how he likes that. Mike was a bit upset that they bought that without telling us because he thought that was something we should buy him but I don't care. Grandparents normally spoil their grandchildren. I put him on one a little while ago at a store for fun but he had no idea how to pedal. I hope that's an easy thing to teach. We are having the boys' birthdays at my parents place on July 26th. Miles will be 1 in 3 weeks :) We have no idea what to get him because he has all of Cody's old toys but I am sure we will think of something. I can't wait to make their cakes and help them open their presents.

We have a family reunion this weekend at a big park type place. I can't wait to see all my family members and I am also excited for Cody because he is going to have so much fun spending the entire day outside with all of us. He's really into sports and playing ball and I am sure lots of people will play with him. I may be a bit exhausted keeping Miles happy all day but that's the life of a Mom. We will probably be there from like 11am-7pm so I guess when he's tired I will just take him for a walk in the stroller and hope he falls asleep? Hope it works!
