Another cardiologist appointment last week for the baby. It's scary when my son, who seems to be in perfect health other than being a bit smaller than my girls were at his age, is getting more medical attention than I ever have. I've never seen a cardiologist. From my last conversation with the doctor, they do actually think there is a small hole in his heart. They also are not sure whether or not it will be a problem. I didn't know it was possible to have a harmless hole in the heart, but apparently it is.
Susan joined me at the hospital and it was nice to talk to her for a bit. She's not a doctor but she works in pharmaceuticals and I feel like she has much for knowledge about medical things than anyone else in my life. It was also nice to be able to talk to her a bit about my upcoming wedding and get some idea if she would be comfortable attending a clothing optional event.
Her reaction seemed almost "professional." Like she didn't want to show a reaction and offend me. It's no secret in the family that Jayson and I are nudists. But this is perhaps the first time we are putting other people in the position to have to confront it.
The reality is that it is our wedding and this is how we want to do it. The feelings of people who attend are less important to me than us having the wedding that we want.
