The toilet blocked tonight. Well and truly blocked. Rich commented, apparently, that he thought it was a little blocked before he left to go out tonight. I didn't hear him.

I then nit-combed Lila's hair (no eggs but several teeny baby lice - hopefully not big enough to have laid anything). The toilet paper I used to wipe the menagerie off the comb went in the loo and then, while I read Lila's story, tally went to the loo. As you do.

That was when the water rose and rose and rose.

I had work to do, blocked toilets were not something I had time to think about. I had paperwork that needed to be done.

It took a couple of hours to finish, maybe half an hour chatting with Rich and then I put all my writing stuff away before going to the bathroom.

Oh shit. (Literally). I'd forgotten! There it was - water up to the rim. I sighed, went downstairs to collect toilet unblocking paraphernalia (i.e. lots of plastic bags) and went back up.

I sighed.

I sat down on the seat we have in there.

I thought 'i really don't want to do this.'

I sighed again.

A gurgle emitted from the toilet and, amidst a long sucking sound, it all went down!!

Well heck, that's the kind of karma I like!
