Alright.
I've got my head screwed on tight, I'm getting my shit together and acting more like a human. I have applied for 4 more (brand new, recently posted) job openings with the school district over the last two days. HR told me that they were anticipating adding a few more over the next week, as well.
I'm feeling desperate. I'm feeling like a person who is going to do something crazy if shit doesn't work out soon. But I've simmered down considerably and accepted that whatever will be, will be. Two of the new job postings I applied for today are at a nature-based school that's only a couple of blocks away from me. It would be amazing to get a position there. It would also be amazing to get Kasin in there, if he wanted to go.. it's really cool and hands-on, lots of outdoors stuff. They're very green. My favorite kiddo in the world goes there, Siri, who if you remember WAY back to when I worked at Open Arms, I started watching when she was just turned 1. LOVE her! She's DARLING. <3 Her mom also is one of my references and wrote me a lovely rec letter. Maybe that will help me get an interview.
I'm feeling less psychotic. I'm holding out hope. I applied at the "inner city" school of our district, which I'm sort of scared of. The teachers and staff there were really great for the most part, but the kids are incredibly tough. It's a rough crowd. This is also the school I did my two week switch at during the internship. The school where I wrote twice as many DRs in two weeks as I wrote at Ladd in a whole year. The school where I subbed in Kindergarten and got eaten alive. I don't really want to work there, but I DO want a job, so. Yanno. One of my letters of recommendation is from a teacher there, too, so I might have an in based on that. Hopefully.
Any teaching job. Anybody. Take me! TAKE ME PLEEEEEEEEASE! lol
