I’m writing this as more of a personal journal of my journey. I decided about a month ago I wanted to become a healer. This is going to be a new journey for me and one that will take a lot of time and energy for me to spend and expand on. I am going to attend many events and healing modalities and I will use this space to review my experiences.

This past weekend I attended the Heart of Oneness Healing Expo (HOOHE). This was my first healing expo and I had learned a few things and there are a few places I can see I need to expand upon.

On Saturday I attempted to attend the seminar on THC and CBD products, however, I went to the wrong room and wound up seeing Marci Hopkins. A recovery specialist. She was the key note speaker and gave a speech on Surrender and what it means to stop trying to be so perfect all the time. It was well put together and enjoyable. I did mostly notice how comfortable she was with being on stage and speaking. She flowed very well and knew what she was talking about. After that I met up with Meredith whom spent most of her time walking about the booths and talking to the sales people. While I didn’t find this to be a terribly good waste of my time, I did notice how easily she spoke to strangers. And I think this would be a good exercise for getting accustomed to talking to people. On my next adventure I want to make a point of talking to at least one booth, one that will make me a little uncomfortable and allow me to think on my feet. She did stop to talk to one girl, Lori, an energy healer. Whom I got the information to sign up and get certified for all these things on UDEMY.com. I looked and the classes are like $15 each. I think its a bullshit way to get certified, but it looks like that is what is out there. I feel I want to take those classes for the paperwork, but also get together with Christopher to learn hands on the sounds and how they heal.

I also attended a meditation held by Roland BuddhaHawk. He mostly gathered his energy for a large light ‘source’ and then played some great Epic Music while he spread his healing around the room. There was a couple times I went completely nod out in my chair. Very intense. Afterwards I was a little groggy, very dehydrated and a little hungry as well. I grabbed a snack and went to sit with Meredith but after all that I was completely drained. And knowing I was coming back the next day I decided to head home.

On Sunday I tried to get there early but still wound up a bit late for the sound healing seminar. It was held by Ruth Ratcliff, I had attended her silk hanging sound healing the week before so I was eager to hear what she had to offer. While the seminar was very informative, I don’t think she has much accreditation beyond the Udemy classes…or the such. I have signed up for a couple more of her classes. I find her to be a bit abrasive, and I find myself to be the same. I’m hoping seeing it in her will help me soften that in myself.

I then joined the Medium workshop. It was exactly to be expected and made me realize that I do not want to be a medium lol. I believe everyone should be able to speak to their own spirit guides.

I concluded this day and weekend with the QiGong for Recovery seminar. I think it was one of the best. A few notes I had taken
- Once your higher self sees your dysfunctional self you can begin recovery
- All spiritual books are flawed because they are written in language. All are focused on the moon.
- As soon as you stop hurting yourself - you are healed.
- Why does my ego want me to continue to hurt myself
- Everything you take in is then processed through the ego
- Can’t turn the ego off…it determines who you are. But the goal is to turn it down
- Reconnect with your body

That is all for this venture. More to come soon
