Do you think it’s okay to have me come first then everyone else? Or should I make sure everyone else is happy and then me? And you think there are those who would eb upset if they have to wait till I get something done when they ask me to do it? Or what if I don’t do it at all? Do Ineed to have a reason and explain it to them?
I think the best way to get things done is consider the source where it’s comming from and then do what makes you happy.
There is still a part of me that is worried that when the landlady comes backs that my new me and the changes I have made dealing with her that she will threaten to evict me because I am not complying with her so called rules. And the reson is because none of these so called rules are written down and I have not signed my permission so until them I will go by what the law of renting is. And even when her rules are written down I still don’t have to sign it.
I have a question for you? When you go to sleep at night do you turn down your heat because you are comfortable with that tempoature or is it because you want to save money or a bit of both? And what if someone in your home complains tht it’s a bit too cold for them? Do you compermise and raise the heat a bit?
Since the landlady has been gone the heat has been at anywhere from 65 to 73 and I have found that 69 to 70 is the perfect tempature for me. And I can actually feel the heat comming through the vents and it does feel nice and even the bathroom is nice and warm. I wonder how much it is for the heat to stay at 70 for the winter months? I would even pay the difference but I need it written down in the lease otherwise I won’t do it.
I find when there is compermise and communication that I am much happier and more able to do what others want me to do. I do know life is give and take and sometimes one side gives more then they take and that is okay sometimes.
I have figured out why I take naps and go to bed early is because I can feel the heat and I know with the heat I can fall asleep easier and get a better quality of sleep. But when I wake up and the heat has been turned down i wake up really cold and then I am in a horrible mood.

Onto something else…
Dinner last night was left over spagetti sauce and noodles because the whole chiken I have wasn’t thawed enough so it will be for dinner tonight.
This is how I am going to be doing the chicken…

https://downshiftology.com/recipes/easy-roast-chicken/
I am thinking of having roasted potatoes and carotts and celery with it because then it’s in one dish and clean up is easy.
And for today I want to get some laundry done and get my groceries put away and then after that watch some mindless TV.

And on this note…
I will stop here....
Do have a great day…
Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe and Behave.

P.S. Sammy…I am sorry you have snow..really I am but I don’t want it so let it melt.

If you make yourself happy first then you will be able to make others happy

I know this but I don't know where to start or what to pick first...

We turn our heat down at night because we sleep better. Both our thermostats seem to go way up during the night and we get hot and can't sleep. And since I am the cold one at our house I set the temps so it is usually about 70 or 71. Most times doesn't feel that warm. However, I have started making sure I have my socks on and I wear a sweater. Now, when I was single and paid the bills myself I kept it about 65 all winter and about 80 all summer. And now that our government wants us to rely only on green energy I figure the costs will just keep going up to satisfy the climate mythologists. And to make them richer since that is where their money is invested.

does your significant other complain that it's too cold or too hot and what do they do to stay comfortable? Have you heard of solor heat? That might be a cheaper option?

My husband suffers heat stroke so he likes the cooler temps and does not like the heat. My neighbor has solar heat. The short life of the solar panels would negate the saving of getting them. He finally hooked up to the grid because he could not keep his refrigerator running or his freezer. It is not at great as people are lead to believe. Our electric bill is not high. And we use propane for heat. If you do not also rely on the electricity company the panels are ver seldom a solution.

Jodie crystal butterfly ⋅ January 24, 2023

So does everything work with solor panals or would someone still need to have electricity? because my landlady is thinking of getting them and I think they are not a good idea because there are more days here that it's coudy and rainy then it is sunny and hot. And what happens when there is no heat or electricity with the solor panals?

crystal butterfly Jodie ⋅ January 24, 2023

Unless she has a back up generator or some alternate source of energy, in my opinion you cannot rely on the panels alone.

Jodie crystal butterfly ⋅ January 24, 2023

Yeah I just read a little bit about them here in B.C. and they are expensive to instal plus you need permission for the electric company and it will take 25 years before they pay for themselves. I would like tot hink that if there is a big enough space like a warehouse then maybe but a two bedroom home with a basemsnt that has two bedroom I would think no....and I am sure she won't get the right contractors to install it or get the right permiosts and permission.

crystal butterfly Jodie ⋅ January 24, 2023

I will admit that I do have a friend that says her solar panels have reduced her electric bill, but she is also paying over $200 a month to pay for the panels and has several years to go. So in the long run I have no idea if she is really saving money or not. However, the number of times she did not pay her electric bill she was shut off so in that case they are better.

Jodie crystal butterfly ⋅ January 24, 2023

Do you know if you can pay for the panals in one payment or is it spread out over years like a mortgauge?

crystal butterfly Jodie ⋅ January 24, 2023

I would say if you have the money you can pay for them outright.
