Some time ago, I don’t remember exactly, it could’ve been yesterday or a week ago, I read an article about the benefits of diversifying your identity. Supposedly, the idea is that by allocating parts of your identity to different things you prevent the existential crises and self-delusion that ensue when you inevitably fail in one area. Subsequently making your sense of meaning and identity more resilient.

I started by browsing youtube. I’ve always kept my home page very dry and I have often been afraid of subscribing to and watching particular content for fear that I would be judged if someone ever found it. Anyways I explored the platform liking and subscribing to anything that piqued my interest. It was fun. I listened to a lot of jazz and J-pop playlists. I watched some Beta squad and found a philosophy Youtuber. Not sure if I’m super interested in philosophy but it was alright. I watched an anime youtube channel. Just remembered some old animation/drawing channels, which I might check out later. Like Swoozie and Jaiden animations.

I’ve also gotten a lot more into lifting than I used to be. I specifically tried to avoid self-help content. I’m trying to dress better aswell.
