Didn't write enough :/ in rambling stuff?

Agh, I didn’t finish the first draft of my essay tonight. I got some done though. I have to make sure I finish it tomorrow, and study for my big latin exam… oh well. What I did do was try to make popcorn in my dorm for the first time. I only had it in there for a couple minutes but still almost burned down the residence hall. I took the bag out of the microwave to inspect it, smoke pouring out and towards the ceiling, when I realized I was standing directly under a smoke detector. I shouted “oh fuck” and dived across the room to the floor, hastily closing the bag. I decided to stuff it in a desk drawer until it cooled down, but the smoke ended up worming its way through the drawer and out the middle of my desk, so I took it out and shoved it under a nearby sweater. It’s a wonder the alarm didn’t go off. When my roommate came back all the way from the bathroom across the hall, they said they could smell the burnt popcorn in the shower. Christ…
