Our Story so Far in Pregnancy

So, I've decided to dedicate a book on here to map out the journey of my husband and I trying to get pregnant. So, here's where we are so far: I am a 25-year-old woman in great health. I am technically, according to the BMI calculator, overweight for someone my height. I am 6'0 and 200 pounds, give or take. I am a smoker, but I have reduced my cigarette count to less than 3 a day, today marking the first day that I will try to go without entirely. My husband is a 28-year-old in perfect health. Seriously. I want to beat him sometimes because of how much he loves working out. I wish I had a fraction of his motivation. We are heading into our 4th month of trying to conceive. If we manage to get pregnant this month, our baby will be due towards the end of March.

No serious issues, no history of infertility in my family or his, and we're both active, healthy (aside from my smoking) young adults. We've only got a 20% shot each cycle of getting pregnant, which is just the statistic for all healthy couples, so I'm trying not to let it get to me. Hopefully 4 will be our lucky number!

I am reaching the end of my menstrual cycle, and Tim and I picked up an ovulation kit to help detect when I'm actually ovulating. I think for the past few months, we've been saving our baby dancing for solely the weeks when I think I'm fertile, and that's something that has been changing for the better. We're trying not to stress so much about it now and just enjoy the act of making our baby! So, I'm going to start the ovulation kit tomorrow and see where we end up.

I did get some troubling news yesterday. I went to see my gyno for my yearly pap and she informed me that last years pap came back abnormal. Apparently while I was between phone carriers the call got lost somewhere in the mix, so I never knew. She did a pap yesterday, and said that if it came back abnormal again, they'd want to schedule me for a biopsy. Which means it could potentially be some form of HPV. It's not a huge deal because I've had my Guardisil shots and everything, but I've never had an abnormal Pap before. She also said that sometimes they come back totally fine after having an abnormal read the year before, so I'm hoping it was just some kind of fluke or whatever. Either way, I wont know for a few weeks and I'm really terrible at being patient. Ugh.

But yeah, Tim and I are trying to have a baby. We've been married for almost a year, just moved into a 2-bedroom apartment, and we are ready to take the next step. :]

Love and Light! <3
