sunday was my wedding. it was AMAZING! nothing went wrong...except for my sister in law burning a hole in the front of her dress (she was steaming out the wrinkles with a hair dryer...yeah...) just a wonderful day.
i barely slept the night before. the rehearsal dinner was great, we had a little after party in dann's room and hung out until about midnight. i got in the shower and chatted a little with my maid od honor before we went to sleep. i was tired, but wired at the same time. i stayed the night with my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids, both very good friends of mine. i didnt sleep well though. too excited and nervous and my hair was wet. i dont sleep well with wet hair.
got up around 8 or 8:30 on sunday, ready to go. i was actually pretty calm. we got breakfast, went downstairs and got ready in the bridal suite. my makeup artist and hair dresser came and we had a good time getting ready. the one thing i forgot about was getting everyone lunch. the boys got lunch at the bar, but i didnt even think about it until it was about 45 minutes to show time! we got some quick snacks, which were gone in about 5 minutes lol. my grandfathers came in and cried when they saw me. i had to calm them and myself down before we got some pictures. i didnt get nervous until i saw my dad. we cried a little too. got lots of pictures beforehand with my maids and parents. then it was time to line up. the day went by so slow, but so fast. i cant explain it. it felt like we were waiting around all day, but then it went by so quickly. i almost lost it as i walked in, but i kept it together. dann looked amazing. the grey suit looked awesome on him and the bow tie. the ceremony was perfect. just enough religion and humor. a great mix of traditional and us. it was just long enough. got some great pictures outside afterwards. there was an old church next to the hotel, so we got some pictures there, then we got a few of just me and dann on the local trolley! we practiced the stoll with everyone and then it was time for the reception. it just flowed wonderfully. and i got to eat!! we danced and ate and mingled. it was great. the DJ was awesome and kept the party going. lots of dance music. basically, every time dann and i sat to have some water, we were right back up dancing again! we had to! the food was great and the cake was even better. yum yum yum! i cried with my dad during our dance. dann and his mom practiced their dance and it came out really nice. my mom and i danced too. she cried a lot all day. my poor mom with her broken arm! i held her arm up while we danced. it was cute. before we knew it, the night was over.
dann and i had a jakuzie (sp?) in the room. once we got out of our formal wear, we filled up the tub and relaxed. the hotel gave us a bottle of champagne and more dinner. after some fun married time (which dann told me was completely worth the wait!), we opened our gifts. i need to go through the cash today and see exactly how much we got. we didnt swim with the cash in the tub though. i didnt want to mix up who gave us how much money. apparently, our families had another after party with our friends and security had to come talk to them about the noise a bunch of times before they had to break it up. too funny!
alright, well i better get going with my day. got lots to do today! the husband is at work and i gotta get this place back in order. later!
