But I'll tell you this:

I still hate kids.

Well, actually, I don't. I'm generally ok with kids, but I hate the concept of "kids", and most specifically I hate the way adults treat them.

But the one thing I've learnt, I think, is kindness. Because your child's pain is your pain, and when you learn that, when you learn this essential empathy, then you realise that all children are your child.^ And some of them are brats, and some of them are idiots, and some of them are no better than they should be.

But they could be. They deserve better.

I told Caffeine, one night, in a tone of exasperation, that I was going to have to fix the whole goddamn world just to make her happy, and the exasperation was from the fact that it was going to be a job and a half.

And it's a big world, and I am a little person, and I'm going to have to start from the very bottom.

So the kids who don't know better?

Yeah. Just gotta fix that.

^Except for that little git who just tried to hurt her, who is going to die.
