so today is my birthday. tried to keep it hush hush at work...which worked pretty well, for a while. several months ago, we had talked about birthdays and i mentioned when mine was. but left it at that.

facebook gave it away. haha...oh you facebook.

rachel, a colleague, was the one who apparently was the one who alerted people. she told some other people and lo and behold, she needs "help".

when i get back to my desk they're all there and have it decorated. funny thing is, all oft hem were women, probably 10.

we all ended up going to lunch at this taco place called Guisado's. It's good, I got the taco sampler. Six mini tacos, but I wouldn't get the chicarron again, it basically feels like it's just flavored fat.

all in all a good day.

we even got Leticia to go out. She never goes out. The two other times she went out were another colleagues birthday and when I bought her lunch.

speaking of rachel, we may possibly be onto something. we went to a get together friday night and had a chat. i don't think it would have happened sober. somehow it got onto the topic of relationships. she started asking and i said i liked someone for work and after a long pause i said it was her. she said she would be into it because i am "awesome"....of course. j/k.

later when we were getting drinks she said something like, "so are you like asking me on a date" to which i said yes.

we've been texting, but it's interesting since we work together and want to keep it on the downlow from our other colleagues. though our other colleague yolando said she could see us married someday earlier that night. i think i sort of used this to give me courage to talk to her there.

she has two kids, but it didn't work out with their fathers. one is four and the other she had about three months ago. i was exactly looking to date a mother, but life takes turns like this. certain things will happen as they do.
