8 weeks + a few days and baby looks great. Heart rate was 155. Dr came up with a new "plan" for me for now and we will just be seen every two weeks with u/s at 12, 16, 18 weeks then weekly after 20 weeks to measure growth and development as well as blood flow since my "issues" arose during both of my previous pregnancies around 28 weeks. He said the baby aspirin reduces the risk of clots by about 20-30% and he doesn't love to give lovenox unless there is a very obvious need due to the many adverse side effects. Overall I enjoyed his personality and we got along pretty well. He spent a decent amount of time with me - no where near as much as the midwives do, but thankfully I am still seeing them as well for my regular prenatal appointments. I would not be opposed to him attending my birth - I think we were on the same page, but he did seem shocked when I said I delivered Callum at home.
My next appointment is with the midwife on 7/2 and then I see him again for a 12 week sonogram on 7/14.
I was not completely impressed with the ultrasound - they did it abdominally (at 8 weeks) instead of vaginally so it was incredibly blurry and difficult to see much of anything. I am not sure why she did it that way, but I guess this early on there isn't much they can do even if something was not right in there.
