It has been revealed that the Fintech & O2O specialized company 12CM, had signed a contract with Betrend, one of the finest IT companies in Japan to provide stamp services.
This new business relationship between 12CM and Betrend was made as Betrend has decided to apply the ‘Echoss Stamp’, 12CM’s most representative fintech/O2O technology, in their business.
Betrend had previously provided loyalty and coupon services to around 1,000 stores with a smart stamp technology from ‘Koto’, a smart stamp technology company in Japan.
There have been cases in the past where companies have changed their stamp tech provider from other companies (e.g. ‘Snowshoe’ in the US) to 12CM’s Echoss stamp. In this respect, the new deal with Betrend is meaningful in that 12CM is now proven to be the NO.1 in the smart stamp industry.
The Echoss smart stamp is a stamp-shaped device to provide loyalty or coupon services by touching the customers’ smartphone with the stamp, without the need of an on-site POS (Point of Sales) system.
In the domestic market, the VAN (Value Added Network) company allows barcodes to be used for customer loyalty services. However, there are no such companies that provide the specific services, so the Echoss Stamp technology has a more competitive edge in the overseas market.
