Did it again in Daily life

It is over a month since I last wrote and had every intention of writing. So many times I write in my head but that is where it stays😆😆.

Anyway, last week I tested positive for covid. Still positive today but line is very faint. Was out of work all last week and will need a dr excuse to go back. Usually don’t work on Tuesdays so might just have the note say to go back Wednesday. Have to call my dr today for the note. I wasn’t too bad with it, started a week ago Saturday and thought it was a cold and I had been swimming a lot so thought it was congestion from chlorine in the pool. However, I was still feeling congested and had a sore throat the next day so went to get tested because of working at the assisted living place. I came back positive. My dr put me on a course of three pills twice a day for five days. I mostly had to keep blowing my nose, slight headache and general malaise. I had made a big pot of chicken soup so I lived off that, Gatorade, oj and instant mashed potatoes for most of the week. Didn’t have coffee all week. Did not lose taste or smell either. All in all, could have been a lot worse. I am vaccinated so who knows how or where I got it.

And now about Bob. Met him about 20 years ago, his daughter and my daughter were friends. In fact, Jeff and I had a picnic shortly after we were married and had Bob and his wife and kids (he also has a son a few yrs younger than my son) over and then we went to a picnic at his house. Bob doesn’t remember either of those times but he does remember Jeff. Fast forward to now. Bob and his wife split up after 40 yrs of a rocky marriage. He is 70 and works part time for his nephew’s landscaping company driving a truck and being somewhat of a “go-fer”. He had worked for him before, then left because he felt he was too old to work there and was driving a school van. His nephew called him to come back because he is a good, hard worker and values him. He is the opposite of Jeff in so many ways. He is positive, likes to go places, is hard working and social. We met because he likes to do things but that will be an entry for another day. Now I must catch up on what has been happening in PB land.
