Go to cbc.ca and poke around. You can read our national news. You can choose a province and read ITS news. You can listen to local radio programs for any province. You can get a feel for the province you are considering. Many people are interested in the East Coast. People from Ontario have been moving here due to the relaxed lifestyle. Just be sure that you know where Saint John and St. John’s are. We recently had a man mix them up and fly to the wrong province. If you cannot speak French, Quebec might not be the place for you. I think Quebec is beautiful, but I would never live there. If you are a doctor or nurse who can qualify here, you have a leg up. We are desperate for medical professionals. The US is a melting pot. Canada is nothing like that. Canada is a confederation of regions. Newfoundland is much different from Saskatchewan. Nova Scotia has a strong Celtic identity on Cape Breton Island. Canadian politics are nothing like American politics. I don’t understand American politics. The school system in Eastern Canada is probably different than the American system. We have private schools and public schools. Students in public schools attend the school nearest their home. In Nova Scotia, public schools are French or English. You must be from a French-speaking family to attend a French-language school. Neither college nor university is free. Canada’s shameful history of kidnapping and incarcerating First Nations children in residential schools is taught. Canada’s history of slavery is taught. Sex Ed is a course. We don’t have all the restrictions that are being imposed in the US. Censorship in public libraries is minimal. Our legal system is somewhat different. Some of the laws that are state laws in the US are federal here. A criminal may not be executed in any province. Abortion is not illegal here. Plan B is available. Cannabis is legal in Canada. Gun laws are uniform. You can’t carry a gun in BC or New Brunswick unless you are a Peace Officer. Taxes are high. You are charged a federal tax and a provincial tax (varies with the province) on non-food items. We have our federal police force–the RCMP. There are also provincial police forces such as the Ontario Provincial Police. There are also city and town forces. We are, for the most part, law-abiding people. Our climate varies depending on the area. Google Environment Canada weather if you want to track the weather for any area. The myth that all of Canada is a freezer gives us a chuckle.

And, WE EAT POUTINE. Yum.

I love poutine, which I could get in Western NY (being just across Lake Ontario), but is sadly unheard of here in the South.

I love Canada. But I have only seen a little of it :-)

Although I think I would have added a link to the timeless YouTube video called "Waking Up Canadian"
