Waking up with anxiety and my mind racing with problems is a horror I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
A lot of stuff going on. Financial pressures, my boyfriend with esophageal cancer, rent worries, etc.
My doc did try to give me something for stress in the recent past. But they don’t work. They’re the kind of pills that you have to take for a long time to work, maybe! Next time I go I’m going to ask for something that works right away when I need it. Zoloft has worked in the past. Anyway…
In the meantime I have to go to my old standby tricks that relieve a lil bit or just make me not care.
Distractions work sometimes. Getting into a show or movie. Eating something I love. Music also can help. Alcohol is good too. Yeah I know alcohol doesn’t solve problems. But it does relieve some stress.
It’s almost 9am. I’m watching leave it to beaver on Metv. I used to watch old shows with my parents growing up. I still like to watch old shows. They relax me too. I guess they remind me of a time in my life when I was younger watching them with my parents when life was simpler for me.. I guess.
Anyway, my boyfriend will be getting up soon. I gonna give him his meds and make him breakfast. That’s another thing I like to do. Doing stuff for him! I love him 😊
I came across an article in women’s health mag about music helping with anxiety. Playlists with binaural beats may help. I listened to a lil bit b4 coming on here and writing. I do love instrumental tracks. Trance and ambient music. So I added 2 playlists on my spotify to try them out.
Having a lil coffee now. I know some ppl would say that would contribute to anxiety. But for me it does the opposite. I LOVE COFFEE! the first sip is the best. It did relax me.
Writing also relaxes me. Also drawing and doing adult coloring. It focuses my energy into something else and some tension goes away.
So that’s why I decided to come on here and write a bit.
Anyway im about done. I was going to put a pic of the article I saw this morning about binaural beats here. But I forgot how to do that hyperlink thing.. Oh well.
Laterz!
