So on Saturday evening, Abby came bounding around the corner from the hallway into the living room and fell. Hard. After spending half the night (4 hours!) in the emergency room with her dad, we still don't have a definitive answer as to whether or not her wrist is broken. They said it is likely a fracture in the growth plate (the softer ends of the bone, where it's growing), but it's very difficult to see that on x-rays because it's soft. They also x-rayed her elbow to make sure nothing happened to her old injury. Anyhow, they gave her a nice splint/wrap that immobilizes her wrist and thumb, and she has an appointment with the Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon for more x-rays next Monday. She wasn't able to run her mile Sunday morning (because she was up until after 2am), so she was bummed about that. We took her to the mall later in the afternoon and she picked out a new Goosebumps book.

Not going to school is taking its toll on Austin's mood. He's been up and down a lot the last couple days. He's a little on the crabby side at the moment, but he was happy earlier this morning. I managed to snap a few pictures of His Royal Cuteness.

And one of me and my Pudge.

I really don't like having my picture taken, but I'm learning to get over it. Someday pictures are all my children will have left of me, and I'm living life after my mother's death with very few pictures.

But dang if we don't have some beautiful children. :o)

EDIT:

Austin gave me some more awesome smiles this afternoon, so I wanted to share. For my new readers, Austin is severely autistic. He is nonverbal. When he smiles and laughs, I want to share it with the world. It's one of the most beautiful things I've ever witnessed.
