The traditional enumeration of the corporal works of mercy is as follows:
To feed the hungry;
To give drink to the thirsty;
To clothe the naked;
To harbour the harbourless;
To visit the sick;
To ransom the captive;
To bury the dead.
The spiritual works of mercy are:
To instruct the ignorant;
To counsel the doubtful;
To admonish sinners;
To bear wrongs patiently;
To forgive offences willingly;
To comfort the afflicted;
To pray for the living and the dead.

What a nice world this would be if we followed those sensible rules.

I was baptized catholic. I was brought up catholic. I went to catholic school. I went to church every Sunday and holy day when younger. I know nothing about being catholic. Nothing.

I was raised catholic too. I went to a one room (public) elementary school and a catholic high school. My kids are baptized but I never went back to church after that. I do though have an admiration for the church, for its beauty, for its teachings, for its intellectualism. There is a fair amount of there, there. Of course there are abuses too and it's only as good as its practitioners, etc, etc. But still.....

I don't think I'll be admonishing any sinners in the near future but I am good with the rest. :) Very dramatic bluff.
