Sunday 05/01/22 in Lady Loves the Ocean

Good Afternoon Sunday!

I debated on whether or not to come and write or not. And decided why not. It may be short. I don’t have a lot to say. But I think I have said that before and I have gone on and on in my entry. So we shall see. 
It is raining yet again today. We had strong winds overnight. And rain. The cat was literally freaking out running from room to room because of the wind. She woke me up at 3 a.m. And I didn’t fall back asleep until after 4:30 a.m. And I finally crawled out of bed at 6 a.m. anyway. It is 5 p.m and around 45 degrees. So not a very nice day at all. And not great for my mood. We have rain in the forecast for 5 out of the 7 days this week.  Temps in the 50s and 60s. So over it. I want some sunshine that will last more than a day. A little warmth to be able to sit outside for more than 20 mins. 

I have been reading off and on all day. I start to doze off so I get up and do something else for a while. I don’t want to nap because I hope to be able to get a good night’s sleep tonight. I only sleep around 5 hours a night the way it is. I just keep waking up between 4-5 a.m. and can’t go back to sleep. I think I don’t sleep as well if I don’t get out and walk at least 30-40 minutes a day. And with this weather that hasn’t been possible. 

I am going to watch “American Idol” tonight. I have a few favorites I hope to get to move into the next round. My favorites are Lady K, Noah Thompson, Nicolina, Fritz Hager, and Hunter Girl. Noah Thompson is who I want to win. I think he is so down-to-earth and genuine. And his voice is just so unique. I am voting for him. I really liked Hunter Girl in the beginning but now I think there are others that are better. 

Wednesday I will be going back for another round of shots in my eyes. Or Eye. The last two times I have only had to have the shot in the left eye. It would be awesome if I go back and they check and I don’t need another one for a while. The last time there was still enough fluid behind the left eye that they needed to treat it. Once the fluid is clear I can then get new glasses. Which I need very badly. I have diabetic retinopathy. So I work very hard to keep my blood sugar under control. The shots themselves aren’t bad. It is the prep stuff they use before the shots. It seems to take forever to clear from the eye. I am praying for good news. 

Not much going on in my life. I can’t believe today is May 1st. With the weather being so crazy it doesn’t feel like it. Time flies even if you aren’t having fun. I need to find something to shake up my world. Something fun. I can’t afford a vacation. The only thing I have to look forward to is my grandson coming in August. I am very excited about that. 

Ok, I have rattled on enough. It’s time to go figure out what is for dinner. And then I can settle in to watch “American Idol”.
