Got Caught With My Coworker At Work in Journal

Well…it was bound to happen eventually. For those who haven’t been following along, my coworker and I have been messing around for quite some time now, about 7 months. He’s married but we had a connection and things just spiraled out of control. We’ve been messing around at work for a while now and somehow avoided getting caught doing anything until now.

We (thankfully) didn’t actually get caught being completely inappropriate but his other “work wife” who is very territorial over him walked in on us and was like watching us for a good 30 seconds without us knowing. I was half-sitting on his desk and he walked over to me and was pulling hair off of my cardigan, (I shed a lot of hair) and I was looking up at him kinda lovingly like I usually do and was SECONDS away from leaning in and giving him a kiss. Until he looked up, noticed her, and said “what? I’m just pulling hair off of her.” I guess afterward they had a talk and now she thinks that I’m secretly in love with him. He made it very clear nothing was going on and if I showed any feelings, he was oblivious to it.

I’m so scared that she’s going to tell everyone what she saw. It definitely looked a lot worse from the angle she was at too. I also don’t want things to be awkward between us as she 100% has a giant crush on him and she and I were becoming good friends. I’m so scared…

I knew we would get caught eventually but I didn’t ever expect it to be her to catch us. I’m just thankful that I didn’t actually kiss him or hell even touch him. My hands were in my pockets the whole time. I just had that she’s in love with him kind of look on my face. She technically can’t report anything and I don’t think she ever would. I’m just scared of a nasty rumor getting out that she saw more than she actually did. I also don’t want her to hate me because I was just starting to be friends with everyone…
