Good Monday Morning Diary!!

It is fixin’ to be a nice day if the sun would ever come out. It is currently supposed to get up into the 50s. It is now 38 degrees. But without the sun I do believe it will be a struggle. 🙁 I will go out for my first walk after I finish this entry. I managed to get 2 walks in yesterday before the sun disappeared and the rain came. It started around 4:30 p.m. and continued into the middle of the night. The pavement was still wet when I woke up. My furnace keeps running this morning. Not sure why. It has not run this much the last few days. It must be really damp out. I am going to walk to my mailbox I will need to dress accordingly.

I watched “American Idol” last night. The two contestants from Iowa were duet partners in the competition. One went home and one stayed in the competition. In my opinion, they sent the wrong one home. They were both pregnant. The one they sent home was about ready to deliver. The other just found out she was pregnant. The very pregnant one had a much better voice. I think they made the wrong choice. Tonight it is on again. I will be watching. There are some really good contestants this season.

I am feeling the need to go to the store but I am going to have to wait. I have a dr. appointment on Thursday which I have to drive out of town for. And I am trying to schedule a dental appointment this week. I will have to wait and see what day I can do that. I will have to go to the store on one of those days. To try to save on gas. Besides, I only need a few things. I can survive without them until then. Bananas, milk, eggs. I heard on the news that the price of eggs has doubled. I will have to check on that. I need coffee as well. I am trying to limit myself to just one cup a day. For my stomach’s sake as well as my wallet. I have a Keurig-type coffee maker that uses the pods or I also have the plastic pod you fill yourself. And I do have coffee grounds. So I can use those. Solved my problem there just by talking to myself here. Lmao. I do occasionally use my own coffee grounds like that but the coffee doesn’t seem very strong. And then I drink more than one cup. Maybe I will just buy some creamer instead of coffee. If I can find the creamer I like. I really like the Chobani sweet cream or the caramel creamer. I don’t use it very much. But I like that brand the best of all of them. I like making iced coffee with it as well.

My eyes are giving me some problems. As I try to read after about 20 minutes my eyes become so irritated. Even with eye drops. They start to water really badly. It is the same way if I sit in front of the computer very long. It seems like it takes about 2 weeks after the shots for my eyes to feel normal. I will be glad when they are done. Not having the correct strength of reading glasses doesn’t help either I am sure. I love to read and I would be reading a lot more if this wasn’t a problem right now. It is frustrating.

My crazy cat “Mira” is running laps throughout my house. She runs from my living room window back to the bedroom window again. The neighbors are outside. That is how she reacts. She has been naughty this morning. She goes around knocking things off every surface she can. I know she wants attention. I stop what I am doing and play with her or hold her for a few minutes. Sometimes that works sometimes not. She acts so innocently when she is knocking stuff off. She looks at me like oops. What happened? She is a little devil. But I love her. Never a dull moment around here for sure.

Well, I think if I wait for the sun to come out I will be waiting all day. So I am going to get ready and walk down to the mailbox. And take the long way back home. Unless it is chilly or starts raining for some reason. Then I will just turn around and walk right back. Pray the sun comes out on the way there. 🌞
