So yesterday I saw X-Men: Days of Future Past. It was good but honestly I left the theater a tad disappointed because the trailer promised grandeur that just wasn't there in the film. Which might sound like I'm saying I didn't like but that's not the case. You can't really hate a movie after it cleans up the mess left by The Last Stand.
So even for the next week Godzilla is still being shown only in 3d. Ugh... why, Lord, why? Now I have no idea what I'll see next week. Maybe (just maybe) it will be Maleficent but I'm not certain. Strange, but that movie has no reviews out yet. Also I'm not getting good vibes from the trailer.
Tomorrow I'll finish reading The Sun King by Nancy Mitford. Honestly I can't say I learned that much from it. After that I'll read Wars of the Roses by Alison Weir.
A Scanner Darkly is just weird. I guess what I hoped for was more of the personal element. Reading it is like watching a movie made after a tv show that was made for the show's fans so it doesn't bother to explain anything and you just sit there puzzled trying to figure out what is going on.
This weekend we might not go anywhere. I don't care about them but I'm going nowhere if the weather gets hot again.
