Telepresence in The irresistible urge to rant, riff and ramble

It's taken me a while to realise this, but photography is serving the same purpose for me as writing.

It is not until I have a camera in my hands-- or sometimes thinking about it-- that the world truly comes into focus.

No pun intended.

Photography allows me to engage the physical world on my terms rather than its own; I can reach into the copy of the world imprinted on Micro 4 3 and shape it to reflect, not the world that is, but the world that I see.

Writing does the same, but for the world within, of thought and emotion. It isn't until I'm primed to write that I truly see you for what you could be.
