Tuesday 03/22/22 in Lady Loves the Ocean

Good Morning Tuesday!!

I can’t believe I totally missed coming here yesterday.

Our weather the last two days has been so awesome. I haven’t been spending much time inside. Yesterday it got up to 73 degrees. With lots of sunshine. Today it is raining and not expected to get any higher than 55. And then the temps are supposed to be in the 40s the rest of the week. Crazy Iowa weather. More rain tomorrow as well. We need it. It should really make the grass green and grow. Spring has sprung. 

Coffee tastes and smells so good this morning. I love my coffee in the morning. After one or two cups I am usually done for the day. Unless I go somewhere and have iced coffee. Which I haven’t done in a very long time. 

My social security check will be in my account tomorrow. I need to go to town and get some things. I have my list. I want to pick up some things for Quinn’s easter basket. My son and daughter-in-law have birthdays the first few weeks in April. So I need to get cards and probably some gift cards for them. I usually get my cards at the dollar tree. That will be my first stop tomorrow. I usually get my shampoo, body wash, cleaning supplies, and paper products there. 

The gas prices here are dropping slowly. I noticed when I went out yesterday it had dropped from $3.89 to $3.79. So that is a start. I hope it continues to drop. I noticed it usually drops on Tuesdays. So I will check later if I go out or tomorrow when I go to town. 

I have been watching American Idol since it started the new season. Sunday night that had some people from Iowa make it into the competition. 2 young girls. I hope they go far. We have had some people in the past make it pretty far. Maddie Poppy is from Iowa. She won one year. I love music shows like this. I like watching the contestants improve each week. I watch The Voice as well. But I like American Idol much better. 

I will probably spend a lot of time reading today. I started one of the newest James Patterson books. I just have a big stack of books here from the library that I need to try to get through. Most of the time I am reading books from the library and not from my home library. The library keeps me pretty busy with new releases. I love that I don’t have to buy new books. But I still enjoy shopping at thrift stores and used book stores for older books. I will never not have something to read. Maybe I am a book addict. lol.

I am going to stop here. I want to try to get out and get some walking time in before it starts raining again. I will take an umbrella in case it starts again. But for my mental health, I need to get outside and walk.
