Good Morning Thursday!!

I love this picture. I want to be sitting right here in this swing. Enjoying the smell of the salt and sea air. I miss the ocean so much. I would give anything to be able to go back to Indian Rocks Beach, Florida. My favorite vacation spot. A small beach town between Clearwater, Florida, and St. Pete Beach. I fell in love with the place after my first trip there over 10 years ago. We ( my best friend Patti ) and I went back yearly for 5 years. Then we started to check out other towns nearby to stay. But we always drove back to that beach. Oh, the memories. It brings tears to my eyes. I miss it so much. And I miss my best friend. It’s been so long since we have seen each other. Enough of that walk down memory lane.

It’s kind of a strange day weather-wise. We have scattered showers in the forecast. The sun peeks out every once in a while. It is currently 50 degrees. I going to go for a walk after I finish this. Unless it’s raining. I also want to get my table and chairs out and put them on my little deck. So I can sit outside and drink my coffee and read my book. Or watch the sunset. Tomorrow there is more of a chance of rain all day. We need the rain. It should green things up. The forecast for the weekend is pretty good. Temps in the 50s.

Right now I have my earbuds plugged into my new phone listening to Luke Bryan on Amazon music. It sounds so good and clear. This will make my walking even better. I think I am really going to like this phone. Newer and nicer and bigger. I ordered a hard case for it and a screen protector. They should be here tomorrow. I didn’t spend a lot of money. But I did get a strong case. It was $10 and the screen protectors come with it. I am not going for looks. For protection more than anything. The phone is a Motorolla pure g. It is so much bigger. I will feel more comfortable when I get a case around it.

I got distracted I am going to stop here. And get outside before it starts raining. And then I can get back and check my blood sugar and plan my lunch. Here comes the sun just in time. 🌞

Later,
Sheri

I love the beaches in Florida. My favorite place there is Sanibel Island. I love to shell . I used to love to swim in the ocean too but there are too many sharks the last few times I went and sting rays . :-) Now I just wade. We have not gone for about five years and I am anxious to go again.

i love sharks! did you see them close to shore or were you out swimming? or just seen pictures? i've been to captiva a few times, also love to shell. Really is one of a kind for shelling!

Jinn DE_nobelle ⋅ March 17, 2022

They were close to shore . Once I was out on a sandbar with my youngest son finding sand dollars and a quite large shark was in the water between the sandbar and the shore. We waited him out :-)

DE_nobelle Jinn ⋅ March 17, 2022

Oh boy I would wait it out too! How neat! I've always heard after a sandbar is where they hang!

It seemed like the wisest choice :-)

I have only been to Sanibel Island twice. The shelling is so awesome.

And not only is it easy to find beautiful welk shells, but everything is such pretty colors with the pinks and oranges, so beautiful!! But Manasota Key has SHARK TEETH so I think we maybe be heading back there before I take the family to Sanibel/Captiva!

Shark teeth are great !

We honeymooned on the gulf in Manasota Key, it was SOOO amazing! Hoping to take the kids back this summer already! It was so quiet and not crowded and just had that feel of a secluded place yearround. I have been to captiva a few times too and loved it for the same reasons! Indian Rocks beach looks beautiful!

I'm about a 20 minute drive from Indian Rocks, but I still can really relate to the sentiment you're sharing. I spend a portion of every day thinking about the beach.

I love it there. Such great Memories. It has been so long since we were there.
There is just something about the beach that brings me such peace. My friend and I always joked we were landlocked mermaids living in the midwest long for the beach. You are so lucky you are so close.
