Sitting here in a rather melancholy mood on a very cool, gray day listening to Boots Randolph play “I Really Don’t Want to Know.”
Yes, so appropriate. I really don’t want to know anything right now. I just want to imagine a better world where there’s no corruption, crime, war and strife, pandemics, global warming, over-population and famine, racism, civil wars and now the unimaginable war in Ukraine which could lead to World War III. Did I leave anything out?

Wouldn’t be nice to make all that disappear ?

One day it all will be gone if humanity and other life on Earth survive human-caused global warming, because love is the most powerful force in the universe!

Make all disappear…That would be so nice, yes. I wish we weren't faced with crying refugees every day and children who could only bring their favorite stuffed animal. That we didn't have to see the emergency villages being built since yesterday for them….so they can live temporarily. Some children are already at school to learn some basic of our language. unfortunately, that's the way it is and here it is more difficult to turn off these images. It happens in our neighbourhoods. That’s the reality.
Living far enough from the war zone makes it a lot easier to distance themselves from all the suffering.

We are far from it but seeing it on the news every day keeps it close . I can not imagine what the refugees are going through and they are the fortunate ones ; they got out. I fear for the people left behind . I suspect the situation in Ukraine gets worse every hour. There seems to be nothing Putin won’t stoop to . :-(

Good points. The refugees are the lucky ones. It’s a country of 40 million. It looks like Putin wants to flatten and destroy the whole place as he and Assad did in Syria and as Putin did in Chechnya.

The reality there is different from here for sure. What a sad, terrible situation for so many refugees to be in, but they escaped. They are the lucky ones compared to those left in cities being bombed daily by that barbarian in Russia.
This is a good interview:

There are so many reasons to worry. Thank God there is music.

Yes, but then unfortunately we get gobsmacked by life! 🥺
